Mini faculty development workshop 2024
We conducted a three-hour faculty development workshop at SIGCSE in March 2024. In this workshop, we overviewed the key Parallel and Distributed Computing (PDC) concepts and provided examples of how they may naturally be incorporated in early CS classes. We introduced plugged and unplugged curriculum modules that have been successfully integrated into existing CS classes at multiple institutions. We highlighted the upcoming summer training that we organized at UMass. The workshop was attended by 11 instructors. Each received a $400 stipend exception international attendee.
