Mini Faculty development workshop 2025
We conducted a three-hour faculty development workshop at SIGCSE on Feb 28. In this workshop, we overviewed key Parallel and Distributed Computing (PDC) concepts and provided examples of how they may seamlessly be incorporated in early CS classes. We introduced plugged and unplugged curriculum modules that have been successfully integrated in existing CS classes at multiple institutions. We highlighted the upcoming summer training that we organized at UMass. The workshop was attended by fourteen instructors. Each eligible attendee received a $400 stipend.
